Improving Your Chances

Of A Quick Sale

When your home is in top condition, it is more likely to sell quickly and at the price you want. When preparing to place your home on the market, focus on the appearance and condition of the following:

Curb Appeal

You only have one chance to make a first impression. Stand across the street from your property and critique its appearance. Mow and water the lawn regularly, weed flowerbeds and trim plants or trees.

Paint

There are few things you can do that will enhance the value of your house more than painting your home.

Carpet

Steam clean or replace soiled carpets. If pet odors are present, clean the carpet some time before your home is placed on the market.

Front Entry

Give special care to this area. The front entry gives buyers their first opportunity to make a close inspection. All woodwork should be freshly and neatly painted.

Doors

Check to make sure all doors open and close freely, including closet doors and patio or sliding glass doors.

Creating a Spacious Look

One of the best ways to improve the look of your home is to open up as much space as possible. Overstuffed rooms, kitchen counters, and closets makes the house seem smaller than it really is.  One of a buyer's most desired home features is ample closet and storage space.
